This year, Choa Chu Kang Secondary School (CCKSS) celebrated Singapore’s 59th National Day with a series of heartwarming and memorable events that brought together students, teachers, and parents. The festivities were filled with unity, pride, and a deep sense of community spirit!
Observance Ceremony and Marchpast
The day began with a solemn and inspiring Observance Ceremony. The highlight of this ceremony was CCKSS's very own Marchpast. The Parade Commander led the contingents to prepare for the Marchpast, commanding them to march out of the Parade Grounds with precision and pride. The massed bands followed, playing the iconic "Tentera Singapura," a tradition that has been part of our National Day Parades since the 1990s.
Parent Support Group (PSG) Performance
A truly special part of our celebration was the performance by the Parent Support Group (PSG). They took to the stage and delivered a heartfelt rendition of "Home," one of Singapore’s most iconic patriotic songs. This performance was a beautiful and moving experience, resonating deeply with everyone present. The song "Home" symbolizes the love and pride we all share for our nation, and the PSG's performance captured that spirit perfectly.
Community Engagement and Activities
Throughout the morning, everyone participated in various activities that further enhanced the celebratory mood. From engaging quizzes to community singing sessions, there was something for everyone. These activities not only provided entertainment but also reinforced the bonds among students, teachers, and parents.
